iobi SM Enterprise Features
iobi offers a compelling mix of next-generation call management, unified messaging, personal-information management and productivity-enhancing features.
Call Management Services
- Desktop Caller ID
Users will receive notification of incoming calls via a pop-up on their computer screen that identifies the caller's phone number (when it is available from the network) and name (if there is a number match in the user's address book). The caller's number can then be added to the user's address book. - Call Forwarding
Users will be able to direct their calls to a number in their profile or any other number they choose. They will also be able to activate or deactivate call forwarding. - Call Forwarding - Selective
Enables a user to set up a restricted set of criteria for forwarding calls. If an incoming call meets any one of the criteria, the call is redirected to the user-specified destination. - Call Forwarding - Always
Enables a user to redirect all calls to another destination (static condition). - Call Forwarding - Busy
Enables a user to redirect calls to another destination when an incoming call encounters a busy condition. - Call Forwarding - No Answer
Enables a user to redirect calls to another destination when an incoming call is not answered within a specified number of rings - Online Call Management
Provides the user with the option to accept the call, forward it to voice mail, reject it, or transfer it to a specified number as the calls come into the network. - Find-Me-Follow-Me
Allows the user to define a series of locations (phone devices) that will be traversed in an effort to complete the call to the called party. If there is a no-answer condition, call completion is attempted with the next device on the list. The user is able to adjust the number of rings for a particular device before a no-answer condition is set for that device. - Call History
Includes: call number, call time and caller information (if known) for accepted and missed calls. - Do Not Disturb
Allows a user to set a profile that sends all calls to an intelligent peripheral that plays a do-not-disturb announcement with the option to leave a voice mail message. - Call Notify
Enables a user to define criteria that cause certain incoming calls to trigger an e-mail notification. If an incoming call meets the criteria, an e-mail (or short message to a cell phone) is sent to the notify address informing the user of the details of the incoming call attempt. - Call Rejection
The caller is told that the subscriber isn't taking calls right now and that the caller can press # to be connected with voice mail. - Selective Call Rejection
Enables a user to define criteria that cause certain incoming calls to be rejected. Criteria for selection include membership in a list of caller IDs, time of day, day of week, etc. A call failing to meet these criteria is handled with whatever global call treatment is in effect. - Selective Call Acceptance
Enables a user to define criteria that cause certain incoming calls to be connected. If an incoming call meets the criteria, the call is allowed to connect to the user using whatever global call treatment is currently in effect. All other calls are rejected. Criteria for selection include membership in a list of caller IDs, time of day, day of week, etc. - Voice Mail and Voice Mail Retrieval
Calls can be routed to voice mail on a no-answer, busy or a selective basis. Voice mail can be retrieved through the iobi client for select Verizon-hosted voice mail platforms.
Unified Messaging
- Voice Mail Retrieval
Provides the ability for users to retrieve messages through iobi. Users can review by clicking on the message (message will be delivered using the native media player installed on the user's machine). Users will be able to save, delete and forward voice mail messages. - Short Message Service and Voice Short Message Service
The user will be able to send short text messages and voice short text messages to contacts, utilizing a message window in the iobi client. - E-mail Services
Provides the ability for users to send e-mail messages by clicking on a contact in the address book or telephone number located in the inbound call history.
Personal Information Management
- Address Book
Facilitates the easy management of contacts and contact information. The address book also allows permission-based groups, giving the user the ability to publish only intended information to other users. With this v-card feature, a link is provided to the person's profile information, allowing real time updates. Address Book can be synchronized with Lotus Notes and MS Outlook. - Calendar
Provides the functionality for a Web-based calendar, allowing the user to create Appointments and Tasks. Recurring appointments are also supported. The user will be able to schedule call forwarding and conference bridge meetings. The calendar can be synchronized with Lotus Notes and MS Outlook. - Offline Access
The desktop client's offline feature may be activated at any time. When it is, users are able to review their calendar, address books entries and voice messages even when their computer is disconnected from the network.
Productivity Enhancing Features
- Instant Messaging
Delivers the ability for iobi users to send secure instant messages to other iobi users or designated users of other instant messaging services. - File-Sharing
Provides the ability for users to directly distribute files through iobi to single or multiple contacts through secure peer-to-peer file transactions.
