As senior vice president and chief network officer of Verizon’s wireline network, Claire Beth Nogay oversees one the largest and most advanced facilities-based networks in the world.

 

Nogay is responsible for the complete planning, design and operation of Verizon’s seamless global data, voice and IP networks which span more than 2,600 cities in 150 countries touching 6 continents. She also leads the engineering and operation of Verizon’s domestic state-of-the-art, fiber-to-the-premises (FTTP) network which enables Verizon’s industry-leading FiOS data and TV services.

 

Prior to her current assignment, Nogay led Verizon Telecom’s Network Engineering and Operations organization. She has held numerous positions of increasing responsibility in all aspects of network operations, including installation, maintenance, engineering, construction and mechanized assignment in both line and staff organizations.

 

In 2009, Nogay was honored by Profiles in Diversity Magazine as one of its “Women Worth Watching” in 2010.

 

Nogay received a degree in civil engineering from Princeton University and has completed several Verizon executive programs with coursework at Wharton and the Center for Creative Leadership.
