Claire Beth Nogay is senior vice president and chief network officer - Network Services Group for Verizon Telecom, responsible for managing all network engineering and network operations functions for the Domestic Telecom networks. Nogay also manages the multi-billion Network Capital Program, including the design, build and implementation of the FTTP data and video networks.

Prior to her current assignment, Nogay was senior vice president – Complex Services Delivery for Verizon Partner Solutions, and was responsible for all operations associated with special services. This includes carrier access ordering as well as wholesale and retail installation and maintenance functions encompassing both center and field operations. Previously, she served as vice president - Competitive Local Exchange Carrier Operations, responsible for all CLEC installation and maintenance in the former Bell Atlantic territories. She also served as an expert witness for Verizon in proceedings on long-distance approvals in states in the former Bell Atlantic.

Nogay started her career as an outside plant engineer in NJ, and held numerous positions of increasing responsibility in all aspect of network operations including installation, maintenance, engineering, construction, and mechanized assignment in both line and staff organizations.

In 1996, Nogay was selected for the Bell Atlantic Advanced Leadership Development Program and has completed Executive Programs at the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania and the Center for Creative Leadership.  She currently serves on the board of the Caldwell Public Library and on a Corporate Advisory Board at Stevens Institute in Hoboken, New Jersey.

Nogay received her degree in Civil Engineering from Princeton University and entered the field of power plant construction with Burns and Roe in Oradell, NJ before joining New Jersey Bell in 1980.
