Mr. Ebrahimi is responsible for all systems and infrastructure for the newly created Verizon Services Operations (VSO) handling Supply Chain Services, Common Financial Services, and Corporate Real Estate, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Corporate Systems and intranet across Verizon, as well as Verizon Information Technologies, LLC.  VSO delivered $562M savings (initial target $90M) in its full year of operation and it is well underway to deliver over $700M in savings (initial target $614M) in 2007.

Prior to his VSO appointment, Mr. Ebrahimi led the Information Technology for Retail Customer Management and Billing Systems organization. Before which, Mr. Ebrahimi served as SVP, responsible for Verizon Retail e-Business.

He deployed an innovative business transformation model based on integrated Customer Relationship Management (CRM) principles that creates a 360 view of all customer touches, transactions, and history. He led the strategy and development of innovative cross-Line-of-business structured messaging platform, an integrated Enterprise data warehouse, common customer contact engine, and common voice portal handling all Verizon Telecom and VSO customers.

He deployed the strategy that created a singular Verizon presence on the Web in 2001. The newly designed Verizon.com web site interfaces with all Verizon back office systems and allows customers to shop, order products and services, pay their bills and request repair online reducing cost and generating millions of dollars in revenue, through self-service. Since its launch, over 14M new customers have registered online expending self service rates from 0 to over 45%.

Mr. Ebrahimi began his career with GTE in 1989 in Contel's Technology Center's Intelligent Systems Laboratory, designing applications for the introduction of artificial intelligence techniques to automate operations support systems in telecommunications and many other major projects.

Before joining GTE, Mr. Ebrahimi was co-founder and Assistant Director for computing at University of Maryland's Institute for Systems Research, a cooperative venture with Harvard University and one of only six national institutes funded by the NSF (National Science Foundation) established in 1986.

Mr. Ebrahimi received his undergraduate degree in electrical engineering and his graduate degrees in both electrical engineering and computer science from the University of Maryland.  He has 12 technology and process patents pending in areas of operations workflow, structured messaging and integrated contact management.

His hobbies include skydiving and racquetball, and he is a fan of such science fiction favorites as Star Trek and Star Wars.
