Lorena McCalister is director of advanced voice services for Verizon Enterprise Solutions Group, the company's business unit responsible for managing the delivery of communication services to large business, government and education customers nationwide. Ms. McCalister is responsible for developing and managing the company's advanced voice and voice over Internet protocol (VoIP) strategy, as well as managing Verizon's enterprise long-distance service portfolios and developing voice- and convergence-based applications.

Prior to assuming her present position in December 2003, Ms. McCalister served as a group manager responsible for launching domestic and global private line and SONET services. Ms. McCalister also has served as group marketing manager, responsible for the development and launch of the company's first international data service offerings.

Prior to the merge of Bell Atlantic and GTE in June 2000, Ms. McCalister held a number of marketing positions with the former GTE managing a variety of national long distance data services for large and small business customers. Before joining GTE in 1996, Ms. McCalister was a group marketing manager with AAP Telecommunications in Sydney, Australia. Ms. McCalister began her telecommunications career in 1990 at Bell Atlantic in customer services.

Ms. McCalister holds a bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering from Pennsylvania State University and an M.B.A. from Carnegie Mellon University. She is fluent in Spanish.

Ms. McCalister resides in Fairfax, Virginia, with her husband and three children.
