T. Britton "Britt" Harris IV is president and Chief Investment Officer for Verizon Investment Management Corporation, a registered advisor subsidiary of Verizon Communications. Britt is responsible for the management of approximately $80 billion in assets, held for more than twenty separate investment programs. His responsibilities include policy setting, organizational oversight and the Fund's aggregate performance. He oversees a large internal management effort, a global research capability, and an extensive network of investment management relationships, in a company with comprehensive operational and risk management skills.

Harris has received several awards during his 17-year investment career, including a designation by Institutional Investor as one of the forty young Americans most likely to shape the future of the U.S. financial markets. He also has been included on many lists that recognize the world's most respected investment plan sponsors.

Harris currently sits on several boards and committees including the TWA investment board, the Allmerica board, a New York Stock Exchange Advisory Committee, and the finance advistory committee at Texas A&M. Britt is also the Vice Chairman of the Council for the Investment of Employee Benefits assets.

Prior to joining one of Verizon's predecessor companies -- GTE -- Britt was a Managing Director for Asea Brown Boveri, with responsibility for pension investment programs in more than 20 countries. Prior to joining that firm, Harris was Executive Assistant to the Treasurer of Texas Utilities Company, where he was responsible for the company's investment and finance programs.

Harris graduated from Texas A&M and resides in Ridgefield, Conn., with his wife and their four children.
