William R. Hummel is currently the director of business resilience solutions for Verizon Business. In this role, Hummel is responsible for the development and marketing of a broad portfolio of new Verizon products and services designed to meet today's increasingly complex business continuity, incident management and disaster recovery needs.

Previously, Hummel served as director of advanced services - security solutions for Verizon Enterprise Solutions Group. Prior to that, from 1997 to 2002, Hummel was director of strategic systems planning and business continuity for Verizon's internal IT organization. Hummel has also been a strategic I/S planning consultant for a major international consulting firm, working with Fortune 500 firms domestically and internationally.

Mr. Hummel graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a degree in Electrical Engineering and received a Master of Business Administration from The George Washington University.
